The Co-operative Bank of Kenya has been named the overall winner of the Banking Industry Customer Satisfaction Survey conducted by the Kenya’s Bankers’ Association (KBA).
The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)-listed lender was also named the winner of the tier-one bank category, a position it now holds for the second time in a row.

The survey was conducted by interviewing over 30,000 customers of Kenyan banks from across the country.
“Co-op Bank will continue to invest substantial resources in building the teams, the tools and the technologies to deliver a fulfilling customer experience across all our service channels,” said Co-op Bank Group Managing Director & CEO Dr Gideon Muriuki.
The annual Banking Industry Customer Satisfaction Survey was initiated in 2018 as part of efforts being spearheaded by KBA towards enhancing customer experience in the banking industry.
For the half-year period ended June 2023, C0-0perative bank profit after tax soared to Ksh12.1 billion from Ksh11.5 billion it posted a year prior.
Net interest for the period under review jumped 2.3 per cent to Ksh21.5 billion as total non-interest income soared four per cent to Ksh13.8 billion.
