The Board of Directors of Sameer Africa Plc has appointed Patricia Kiwanuka as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective 6th May, 2024.
She takes over from Mary Ngatia who has exited the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)-listed firm after serving as an independent non-executive director for 7 years.
“We extend our gratitude to Mary for her immense contributions to the Company and wish her continued success,” said Sammer Africa in a statement.
Patricia is an established financial services and management specialist with over two decades of experience in Eastern Africa, having previously held key management roles at institutions like Old Mutual, Sanlam, and Zamara Actuaries within the investment, insurance and retirement benefits industry.
She currently leads Revenu Stream Limited, a financial consulting firm she founded in 2017.
Patricia currently serves in board positions at NSE Clear Ltd, WPP Scanad, and AAR Insurance Kenya.
She is a trustee of the Banki Kuu Scheme and a Council Member at the United States International University-Africa among others.
A CFA(R) Charter holder, Patricia holds Masters degrees in Counselling Psychology and Business Administration (Finance) and a Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science/Statistics
Patricia is also a Charter Member of the Rotary Club of Upper Hill and a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF+2).
