The NCBA Group has picked Kathryne as Company Secretary, after serving in a similar capacity in four listed firms.
Maundu has served as a Company Secretary at Eaagads from 2019 to 2023, British American Tobacco (BAT) from 2020 to 2023, East African Breweries Limited (EABL) from 2020 to 2023 and Safaricom from 2016 to 2023.
“It gives me great pleasure to officially welcome Kathryne Maundu who joins as the Group Company Secretary subject to regulatory approvals,” said NCBA Group Managing Director (MD) John Gachora.

She has served as a Partner responsible for the discharge of the statutory and corporate governance mandate of company secretaries to entities in diverse sectors at Bowmans – Stamford Corporate Services LLP
Maundu has also worked with Deloitte in the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
She has also engaged in providing support at the board and general meetings, facilitating communication between board members, Shareholders and Management.

Maundu is currently pursuing her LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law with the University of London, Queen Mary College.
She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, a member of the Institute of Certificate Secretaries of Kenya and a member of the Women on Boards Network.
She is also a Council member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya and an independent Director on the board of the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya.
